Alors Matthew est étudiant à l'université, cursus sportif. Il fait aussi des courses illégales.
Que dire de plus, c'est un jeune homme qui souffre, puisque ces parents sont morts, alors qu'il venait d'avoir huit ans. Il est passé de famille d’accueil en famille d’accueil, tout en essayant d'échapper en quelque sorte à cette situation. Il souffre encore énormément de la mort de ces parents.
